"It was Kittens shear class and ablity to tease with no sleaze that drew me to her after days of scouring youtube for an authentc 1940s burlesque performer. so many call themselves this while girating in a g string and lttle else. I love the fact that kitten sings, models, acts and also lives the 40s a genuine star known by the thousands but should be known to the world. Royal variety performance next for kitten think." Hannah Bolger Nov 2010.

"We watched Kitten, we cheered Kitten, we fell in love with Kitten. She is awesome, her evening show, while not suitable for children was entertaining, artful and tasteful. True burlesque, with a hint of naughtiness without ever getting close to being rude, crude or tacky.

We were fortunate to be able to speak to her after the show, she is a delightful Lady, funny and enchanting. When talking to her Kitten said, and here I quote with permission. 'the interview with Steve at SVR was the most fun I've ever had doing an interview.'

We’re all smitten with Kitten, and so on behalf of those who couldn’t make it, I have asked and she has consented to become our Dog Co. ‘Pin Up Girl’"

Kitten von Mew is one of Britain's leading 1940's pin-ups and Burlesque entertainers! Kitten was the 1st Burlesque performer to be part of the USO Shows in the UK, and has toured WWII events and 1940's dances with her iconic and fun routines including her family friendly dances! Famed for her patriotic 'RAF Fancy,' and Songbird fan dances, each routine has a prominent theme, some even feature live singing!

Kitten has loved vintage Hollywood glamour and cheesecake pin-ups ever since she was a little girl. Her passion for these romantic eras started as a little girl, watching old movies on Sunday mornings starring the likes of Fred & Ginger, Marilyn Monroe, Jane Russell and Grace Kelly. She loved the romance and longed to be one of the beautiful dancing girls with fabulous costumes and curves!

Having an interest in the history of these eras has also helped. Kitten von Mew was intrigued by the way the 1930's and 40's were portrayed as such glamorous times by Hollywood, yet they were cut deeply by WWII and the Great Depression. Morale was kept up by images of glamour, wealth, happiness and romance. Pin-Ups were used in the war for keeping morale high in the regiments and as good luck charms for their fighter planes. The closer to the front lines you got, the more risque the pictures seemed to become!

It wasn't until the start of the New Year of 2002 that Kitten von Mew's dreams started to become reality. Vintage clothing began dominating her wardrobe, she learnt the iconic poses, practiced vintages hairstyles and landed her first photo shoot. In an instant, Kittens passion for the 40's and 50's sky-rocketed. In June the same year she contacted the famous Pin-Up Portal for advice. They took Kitten under their wing as their 1st UK Vintage Pin-Up and gave her incredible support and reassurance.

Since then Kitten von Mew has been working hard to keep a little bit of these eras alive and has found great support in the media and worldwide appreciators of Vintage Pin-Up and Burlesque. Kitten was the Face of Glamour at Blenheim Palace's 'Festival of Flight' for 2 years running and has been featured in national and publications and websites worldwide. SInce then she has performed at the War and Peace Show (the largest WWII event in the world), Goodwood Revival and Vintage at Goodwood

Kitten's Burlesque performances have taken her from Sheffield to London....to Milan and Paris! She prides herself on unique and entertaining performances, designing her own Burlesque costumes and having heaps of fun on stage! Having a passion for WWII reenactments and fairs has led to a huge increase in Kitten's performances being featured at such events and in publications such as WWII Reenactors Magazine.
